Hi Team!

Quick follow-up since I had a question about it. Since the practice
session for Thursday is not on the regular day and may create some
attendance challenges, let’s wait until the game on Saturday to hand out
the medals for the Columbus Day Tournament and get the B team picture.
I think we’ll be missing one if we do that.

Hi Team!

Sorry - been in meetings all afternoon and more coming up shortly. But
to quickly let everyone know, practice for Wednesday, 10/14 is
canceled. We will NOT practice indoors.

Coach Chris is going to hold a make-up practice session on Thursday,
October 15, 2009, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Elon. Please try to attend.

The Elon Women’s team will be playing a match tonight at home at 7:00
p.m. against UNC-G. They need some ball girls to help out. A great way
to spend the evening in place of the practice session! If you can do
it, have the girls at the field by about 6:45 p.m. They should meet
over at the pagoda between the benches for instructions.

Also, for this weekend, the teams will be the same line-ups as this past
weekend.

Hi Team!

This Friday evening, October 16, 2009, the Academy teams (both boys and girls) are scheduled to play small-sided games during halftime of the Elon Women’s soccer game.  The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.  The girls will need to meet with Sarah Thomas at the entrance to the stadium (I think Rhodes Stadium based on the description I was given, but I’m trying to verify) to get ready and be led down to the field.  I’m not sure how the small-sided teams will be configured, so please bring both white and maroon jerseys (maybe wear white to start with).  If we get that worked out before Friday, I’ll let you know.  Mainly just wanted to be sure everyone would get this on their calendar.

Hi Team!

Here is our schedule for this weekend’s games in High Point on Saturday, October 17, 2009. The games will be played at the Phillips Park Soccer Complex in High Point (Google Map link).

2:30 p.m. - GYS USA v. BSC A
3:30 p.m. - GYS Brazil v. BSC B

Both games will be played on Field 6.

Since we will be traveling, let’s plan to wear MAROON uniforms, but bring your white gear with you.

Hi Team!

Most got the message, but a few may not have. For those who played on
the “B” team this weekend in the Columbus Day Tournament, please bring
your jerseys to practice Monday evening so we can get a picture. I
think we’ll have some medals for the girls.

Also, weather forecast looks like rain will be moving in tomorrow
afternoon. If it does, unless you hear otherwise, we should be able to
practice indoors at the FutbolFit facility. Remember, if practice does
get moved inside, it will start at 6:30, not the regular 6:45 - and
bring $3.
