BSC U10 Girls Academy Unofficial Site

Hi Team!

Just a quick update for everyone. The BSC web site indicates the
fields were closed tonight (Friday). They will make a decision by
7:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and will update the website as to
whether the fields will be open for play or not. The weather forecast
does not look very promising.

Hi Team!

Please note that there is a change in schedule for our games on Saturday
morning. Chatham SC is only able to field one team; therefore, each of
our Girls Academy teams will only play one game. The schedule will be
as follows:

9:00 a.m. - “new” first year Academy players
11:00 a.m. - returning Academy players

For the 9:00 game, please be at the field ready to start warming up by
8:30 a.m. For the 11:00 game, please be at the field by 10:30 a.m.

Hi Team!

Ready for some more soccer matches? We have games scheduled for this
Saturday, September 26, 2009, at Springwood Park, with the Chatham
Soccer Club. Our schedule for the games is:

9:00 a.m. - Both girls teams playing
11:00 a.m. - Both girls teams playing

Please plan to arrive and be ready to start warming up at 8:30 a.m. We
will be playing on the upper fields.

Please wear WHITE jerseys and white socks, but as always, bring your
maroon gear in case we need to switch.

See you on Saturday!!!

Hi Team!

Just a quick update - as of 3:00 p.m. Burlington Rec and BSC are
reporting fields are open for use tonight.

Radar looks clear. So unless something comes up between now and then,
practice should be on for Springwood at 6:45 p.m.

Hi Team!

I have not yet heard from Burlington Rec on whether the fields are open
or closed for practice this evening.  The BSC site indicates to check
after 3:00 p.m.  Not sure what my schedule will be like later this
afternoon, so…

If Springwood is closed for practice, the U10 Girls Academy will
practice indoors at the FutbolFit facility.  Please note that if
practice is inside, the time will be 6:30 - 7:30 (fifteen minutes
earlier than the normal time).

Same as last time, please bring $3 and give to Cindy so she can pay
FutbolFit.  Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it tonight.

In case you don’t visit the BSC web site very often or otherwise missed
the announcement, we now have access to an on-line store to purchase
“spirit gear”. Things like t-shirts, sweatshirts, golf shirts, ball
caps, etc., with the BSC logo.

Hi Team,

OK, it may not be so much an event. But it is an opportunity for some
fundraising that will help the team.

BSC has arranged for us to sell Dominoes Pizza Cards. Each card has
sixteen (16) stickers on them for Buy One - Get One Free. The cards
will be sold for $10 each and the teams will be able to keep $4 from
each card sold by the team’s players for team expenses. They plan to
start with 5 cards for each player, but more can be obtained. For the
Girls Academy, if each player sells their five cards, this will result
in $380 for the Academy.

I’m not sure when exactly I will get them to be able to distribute them
to everyone - will have to let you know. But if you want to start
pre-selling…

Soccer game vs Clemson, ALL ACADEMY KIDS WILL PRACTICE WEDNESDAY FROM
5:15-6:15 PM AT ELON, at the SOCCER FIELD INSIDE THE TRACK.

After practice, the pre-game festivities start including the Fun Zone
for Kids, Elon Women’s Soccer Autographs + meet and greet. Also, For the
sixth straight year, the Phoenix is teaming up with The V Foundation for
Cancer Research to help raise money through ticket sales and a silent
auction event at Wednesday night’s game. Tickets are $6 for adults, with
$1 from each ticket benefiting cancer research. Elon students and kids
12 and under get in free.
